  34. When you use the TAPI device, it is controlled by TAPI, and TAPI can
  35. take its time.  One way to speed up the close operation is:

  40. works only if the modem responds appropriately to DTR-off.  But
  41. closing a TAPI device is still slower than closing a COM device.
